The Murder Files Award for Justice

The Murder Files Award for Justice is given to those websites which:

  • Draw attention to a possible miscarriage of justice in a UK murder case.

Websites being considered must display strong evidence of a miscarriage of justice having taken place; must not include any adult or otherwise offensive material; be racist in any way or be anti-law and order. Consideration will also be given to the presentation and layout of the site, and accuracy of its content.

The Murder Files Award (Gold, Silver and Bronze)

The Murder Files Award (Gold, Silver or Bronze) is awarded to those sites which totally or in part:

  • Accurately portray the circumstances of a particular murder or murders.
  • Provide possible solutions to unsolved murders.
  • Draw attention to unsolved murders.
  • Draw attention to missing people in particular children.

Websites being considered must not include any adult or otherwise offensive material; be racist in any way or be anti-law and order. Consideration will also be given to the presentation and layout of the site, and accuracy of its content.

For the creation of a website and the publication of two book ‘The case of Barry George’, and ‘Who killed Jill Dando’, in both cases raising serious doubts as to George’s guilt for the murder of Jill Dando.

The Real Yorkshire Ripper
(http://www.yorkshireripper.co.uk ).
The website of Noel O’Gara who has devoted a website to, and written a book on, the Yorkshire Ripper. In both he has thrown considerable doubt on Peter Sutcliffe being the real Yorkshire Ripper.

Murder Files Gold Award

PeterBleksley.com ( http://peterbleksley.com ) for highlighting, through the publicity of his book ‘Ten Most Wanted’, and on this website, 10 unsolved murders.

Capital Punishment UK ( http://www.richard.clark32.btinternet.co.uk/ ).
A superb website which, as well as accurately recording many murders, also covers the history of Capital Punishment in the UK. This site is virtually a library in itself.

To nominate another site for the Award

If you would like to nominate a site other than your own for an Award please send an email to Enquiry@murderfiles.com heading the email ‘Nomination Application’, including your name, the URL of the site you wish to nominate and state why you feel that site should receive an award.

The decision of the Selection panel for all the above Awards will be final.

Only those websites indicated above have been selected for the Award shown. Please notify Enquiry@murderfiles.com of any site displaying a Murder Files Award which is not shown in our Awards list so we can arrange for its removal
